The Ranger Rover Sport gets an updated trim lineup but otherwise rolls into 2025 with minimal changes.

The 2025 Range Rover Sport is available in six 4x4 trim levels: P360 SE, P400 Dynamic SE, P530 Dynamic SE, P530 Autobiography, P635 SV Edition Two, as well as the Plug-In Hybrid P460 Dynamic SE and P550 Autobiography. The Ranger Rover Sport is powered by one of two engines a 3L 6-cylinder engine tuned to either 355 or 395 horsepower or a 4.4L twin turbo V8 that produces 538 horsepower, both engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.

A plug-in hybrid model is also available, it uses a 4-cylinder engine in conjunction with a battery and electric motor to provide either 454 or 542 horsepower. In addition, it's a plug-in hybrid, meaning its able to operate on battery power only for up to 90 miles, before the gasoline engine kicks in. This means that if the 2025 Range Rover Sport Hybrid is only driven on short trips, owners will almost never have to put gasoline in the vehicle.

The Range Rover Sport comes well equipped with a long list of standard luxury, safety, and performance features. Interior luxury begins with leather upholstery, heated and cooled power front seats with memory settings, navigation, and a 15-speaker audio system. The Touch Pro Duo infotainment system brings technology to one's fingertips, with audio, navigation and various vehicle controls displayed on the dual 13.1-inch touchscreens. Exterior features include performance tires on 21-inch wheels, LED auto-leveling headlights, and a sleek grille. Keyless entry and ignition, power liftgate and front and rear parking sensors provide added convenience for owners.

Safety features in the Range Rover Sport include parking sensors, active lane departure, active blind spot, forward and rear collision mitigation, a driver attention alert and traffic sign information system.

Compared to the Range Rover on which it's based, the Range Rover Sport is shorter in length and slightly lower. As the name indicates, the Sport puts more of an emphasis on handling and on-road performance, while keeping a quiet and comfortable interior. It does, however, retain an impressive level of off-road prowess.

The Range Rover Sport is a fast and agile performer, thanks to its lightweight all-aluminum construction and supercharged or turbocharged engine options. Compared to other models in its class, the Range Rover Sport doesn't make as much of a sacrifice in ride quality for handling and off-road prowess, while its feature set and luxurious cabin appointments are a step above some in the same price range. Key rivals include the BMW X5, Porsche Cayenne, Mercedes GLE and Infiniti QX70.
